[Eren hadn't expected much else. Then came that text and ah.

Another crack added to the screen as Eren dropped his phone. He scrambles to pick it up and okay. Chill. Rui can't even see you, Eren.]

[This is it.

After talking to quite a few people about various opinions and ideas, Eren finally decided it was something that had to be done. There was no time for him to be a frightened kid over something so dumb. Only it wasn't dumb at all. It was the first time he had ever done anything like this and he was sickeningly nervous. It wasn't anywhere near the same as throwing yourself into a battle field.

This was more intimidating. His hands kept sweating and he kept fidgeting and he didn't know what to say. Eren had to steel himself though. This was just another challenge, wasn't it? He had to tackle it like he tackled all other challenges.

The video feed flicks on and Eren's wearing an expression that's almost too serious, too stiff and his eyes are blazing with that daunting intensity of his.]

[Oh haha look it's Rui. Rui. Suddenly his throat feels impressively dry and he has to drink like five glasses of water before he can respond to that video.

Eren kind of looks horrified. His hands rub together between his knees and he looks steadily at the edge of his device.]

[He leaves the screen for a moment because haha what that water came back to haunt him. He returns a moment later and sucks in a deep breath. All or nothing.]

[Not.........an outright rejection. So that's good. There wasn't really any excitement there either. Eren didn't know what to expect though and so he just stares at the camera, his expression blank.
